In 1929, the height of the Art Deco era, The Cloud classic design came to be in England and France.

In 1984, Richam Corp., in New York City at that time, re-introduced the design from an original, which was immediately seized upon by decorators and interior designers as well as individuals searching for quality Art Deco style furniture. These pieces were placed in living rooms, sitting rooms, offices, and clubs.

The original scale of The Cloud "parlor set" is still used, keeping true to the style of the 1920's the proportions are diminutive, thus the furniture is not as imposing as most other loveseats, chairs and sofas currently available on the market. The pieces are conducive to commercial use in hotels, lounges, and lobbies for conversational group seating in larger areas as well as seating in homes, apartments, or condominiums.
